Interests and Activities on Facebook

I've noticed that, whenever I like a page on Facebook, it goes into my activities list and not my interests, even if the page isn't about an activity. For example, I might like a famous figure and it shows up under activities in my profile. I've also noticed that when I manually ad an interest to my interests list, it automatically connects me to a page matching that interest. But said page isn't always about the thing in which I'm interested. For example, I added braille and it connected me to a page of what appeared to be a band called Braille. So if someone were to click on that interest from my profile, they'd go there and not to something about the system of writing for the blind. Is there a way for me to put some of the things from activities into interests and also to have the pages for my interests actually be about the things that I like or do I need to manually like these pages, which would then wind up in activities? Thanks and sorry if that was confusing.

Hell I forget where but go into Settings and there are edit boxes for this, just type in what you want. Anything you Like on Facebook that comes from a fan page goes into your interests. That's a bug in Facebook because if you unlike it, it doesn't go away. They're crossing user data with demographic / interest data for the advertising sidebar code is my best guess from the general poking around I've done there.

I've never seen it not go away. I must check out those boxes again. But when I went into edit profile and added interests, as I said, they connected me with some fan pages that had nothing to do with my actual interest. And there's still the issue of putting things where they belong i.e. interests versus activities.

depending on what screen reader you use if you are on what you want to remove and click it a remove box will appear with that interest right above it. Then click on remove with the cursor and it will be gone. make sure to save after removing each one.

Some appear in my interests and some don't. I like 400-something pages, so I sure hope all those don't end up on my profile. Lol. If anyone wants to add me on FB it's

cool..... there's a band called braille? I wonder if a band member is blind, or if they sing about braille?
